Worlds is a voice-first app that helps people feel more connected and less alone. This policy explains, in plain language, what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep your information private and we never sell it.

This policy applies to the Worlds mobile app and related services (“Worlds,” “we,” “us”), operated by Worlds Intelligence, Inc., 140 Island Ave, Miami Beach, FL 33139. If you don’t agree with this policy, please don’t use Worlds.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us

Account details: your name, phone number, email address, and profile photo or avatar.
Calls and voice content: audio from your Worlds calls, the text transcripts we generate from them, and the voice “reflections” you record after a call.
Connections: who you call, invite, and connect with on Worlds.

Information we collect automatically

Usage data: when and how often you call, call duration, streaks, and how you use features.
Device data: a push-notification token and your time zone, so we can send timely notifications.

Information we derive

To improve Worlds and personalize your experience, we analyze your calls, reflections, and activity to build a profile of signals such as your interests, topics, and the kinds of connections you enjoy. Some of these signals may touch on sensitive subjects. We treat this profile as sensitive personal information, keep it internal, and use it only as described below — never to sell ads or your data. You can limit this analysis at any time (see “Your choices and rights”). We treat these derived signals as sensitive personal information. We do not use these signals to make legal, medical, employment, housing, credit, insurance, or similarly significant decisions about you. We do not create a biometric voiceprint to identify you unless we tell you and ask for your explicit permission.

2. How we use your information

To provide Worlds: connect your calls, generate transcripts, and store your reflections.
To personalize and match: use the profile we derive to suggest people to call, tailor your experience, and improve matching.
To improve the product: understand engagement and build new in-house features — always internally, never to advertise to you on behalf of third parties.
For safety and integrity: detect abuse, enforce our Terms, and keep the community safe.
To communicate with you: send service messages and notifications.
To meet legal obligations.

Worlds may learn from de-identified or aggregated patterns across the community to improve matching, safety, product quality, and future community insights. These patterns are different from your personal data. We use safeguards designed to keep them from being reasonably traced back to you.

We do not use your calls or reflections for third-party advertising, and we do not sell or rent your personal information.

Automated analysis

Some of this analysis is performed by automated systems, and we may share relevant content (such as transcripts) with trusted providers that process it on our behalf, under contract, solely to deliver these features. They are not permitted to use your content to train their own models or for their own purposes. We do not allow service providers to use your audio, transcripts, or personal data to train their own AI models, unless we tell you and ask for your permission. These insights help us run and improve Worlds; they are not used to make legal or similarly significant decisions about you.

3. Other people on your calls

A call involves more than one person. When you record or are recorded on Worlds, the recording, transcript, and any insights may include other participants. Only record when everyone on the call has agreed, and only where recording is legal in your location. We process other participants’ content to provide the service; if you’re not a Worlds user and want your information removed, contact us at privacy@wrlds.co.

Galaxies

Worlds may include Galaxies — communities you can join. Some Galaxies have their own data terms, which you’ll see when you join. Joining a Galaxy may give that community access to deidentified or aggregated information about the community; any access to your personal information requires your separate, explicit permission. No Galaxy’s terms can reduce the baseline rights this policy gives you, and Worlds remains responsible for the platform-level practices described here.

4. How we share information

Service providers (cloud hosting, transcription, audio storage)
To run Worlds, under contracts that limit their use of your data to serving us.

When required by law, or to protect users and the public.
A successor
If we’re involved in a merger or acquisition, with notice to you.

We never share your information with advertisers or data brokers, and we never sell it.

5. How long we keep it

We keep call recordings and transcripts while your account is active and as needed to provide Worlds, unless you delete them or delete your account. When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify your personal information within a reasonable period, except where we need to retain limited records for legal, security, backup, or operational reasons.

6. Your choices and rights

Delete your account and data directly in the app (Settings → Account → Delete Account).
Access or export a copy of your data.
Correct inaccurate information.
Limit the use of sensitive information, including the profile we derive about you.
Manage permissions (microphone, notifications) in your device settings.

To make a request, use the in-app controls or email privacy@wrlds.co. Depending on where you live (for example, the EEA/UK or California), you may have additional rights; we honor these and won’t discriminate against you for using them.

7. Security

We protect your information with encryption in transit, access controls, and internal policies that limit who on our team can view your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to keep yours safe.

8. Children

Worlds is not directed to children or teenagers under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has used Worlds, contact us and we’ll delete the account.

9. International transfers

We may process your information in countries other than yours, including the United States. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for these transfers.

10. App Tracking Transparency

Worlds does not track you across other companies’ apps or websites for advertising purposes, and does not share your personal data with data brokers. If this ever changes, we will request your permission through your device’s tracking controls and update this policy first.

11. Changes to this policy

We’ll update this policy as Worlds evolves. If changes are significant, we’ll let you know in the app or by email before they take effect.
